Pilz named TOP Innovator 2009



Pilz is Top-Innovator 2009
Pilz honoured for its outstanding innovation management.

Pilz was presented the coveted TOP 100 seal of quality for its outstanding innovation management. The award was presented by Lothar Späth, the Prime Minister of Baden-Württemberg on the Danube, at a ceremony in the Gästehaus Petersberg in Königswinter on 27 June 2009.

The German small and medium sized enterprisess (SME) Initiative awarded the price to the familiy business Pilz from Ostfildern near Stuttgart as one of the hundred most innovative companies among the SME.

Lothar Späth, the mentor of the SME Initiative, recognizes the services provided by Pilz in the following areas: "TOP-Management Promoting Innovation","Innovative Climate" and "Innovative Processes and Organisation". In the "TOP 100" analysis the company scored particularly highly for the intellectual freedom which Pilz gives its staff.

To receive the award the family business had to endure a demanding two-stage process of the Vienna University of Economics and Business. The academic leader is Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke, Professor for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. He is one of the world’s leading experts in user innovation.
